NOVEMBER 30, 2005 - INTERNATIONALYOUNG FASHION DESIGNERS
CONTEST
The Annual Final of the International for Young Fashion Designers contest
–Fashion and Accessories- will take place in Paris, at the Carrousel
du Louvre, on Thursday December 15, 2005 at 2:30 pm
During this fashion show, fashion students from 17 participating countries
(i.e. Germany, Argentina, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, France, Great-Britain,
Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Pakistan, Peru, The Philippines, Sweden, Thailand
and the United States –among which 8 countries for fashion accessories-)
will submit their creations before a jury composed of fashion personalities
such as Pierre Cardin, President of the jury, Marc Le Bihan,
Adam Jones, Marcel Marongiu, François Lesage, Catherine
Join Diertele, Maria-Luisa Poumaillou, Manager of the Maria
Luisa Boutique, Brigitte Bensimon, Saks Fifth Avenue, Philippe
Dayan, Les Echos -Limited Serie Supplément-, Elisabeth
Paillé, Madame Figaro, Helga Brejla, Editor in Chief
of Gala, Marie-Ange Horlaville, France 3, Le Figaro Magazine.
For these blooming young talents, the subject picked by the organizers
this year is “Fashion, Art and Industry”.
Further to the selection of the winners, a prize will be given for Fashion
and another one for Accessory which will be chosen by a specialized
jury gathered that same morning and composed of Peggy Huyn Kinh,
accessory Designer, Jean Mouclier, Designer for Cartier, Franceline
Prat, Vogue France, Stiletto, Wallpaper, Claudie Violette,
Editor in Chief Le Bijoutier, Grégory Pons- Le Monde.
First launched in Japan on Air France Japon’s initiative, the for
Young Fashion Designers Contest was created in 1982. The year after,
the partnership with the Fédération Française
de la Couture, du Prêt-à-Porter des Couturiers et des Créateurs
de Mode proved its worth and added an international dimension to
the Competition.
With the support of PFAFF and LE DEFI, and under the patronage
of the Ile de France Region, this Thursday December 15, 2005
Fashion Show will present a selection of the most talented fashion students
driven by the same desire: presenting their creations in Paris
