One of its main objectives is to define the structural and educational means which can strengthen the links between the students of l'Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture and the various companies. Another objective is to obtain a certain competences in the “savoir faire” know-how of the industry and profession.
From his foundation in 2004, “the Cercle Saint Roch” worked at the signature of an agreement of partnership between l'Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne and the “Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs”. The two schools decided that the development of their collaboration permitted a certain education to their students concerning jobs within the fashion industry. The education is completed and multi-disciplinary, including and tying in creativity and “know-how” of the industry from a technical training as well as an artistic training.

The “Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs” (ENSAD) and “L'école de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne” provide their students with a choice to follow supplementary classes linked to their original formation at the partner school. During the first quarter of this program, the students follow specific course at ENSAD: some students integrate the textile industry, photography, and others go through the garment sector. At the beginning of December, a cycle of conferences is organized by “L'école de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne” concerning the theme being The management of the fashion companies. Last but not least, from February until October, all the students join the companies which sponsored them after having been on placement for nine months.

They develop a completed professional project which is validated by the company.

The work-study program allows young people to learn a trade that is adapted to the sector and to the needs of companies within it, while simultaneously preparing students for integration into the work place.

Its strength lies in the dual nature of the teaching and the fact that the program unites two places of learning: the school (technical, technological, artistic and general training) and the workplace (in direct contact with the realities of the business, the student gains practical experience). In addition, students benefit from having two types of instructors: teachers and working professionals.

A "Qualification Contract" dress designer work-study program is established from January 2001. A professional baccalaureate, B.T. or B.P. is required.
