date of creation: 1976
1952   April 24th Birth of the "ENFANT TERRIBLE OF THE FRENCH FASHION WORLD".
1970   Joined Pierre Cardin.
1971   A spell with Jacques Esterel, then joined Jean Patou where he stayed for two years as assistant Michael Gomez, then to Angelo Tarlazzi.
1974 - 1975   Returned to Pierre Cardin, but this time in Manila where he created collections intended for the U.S.A.

Jean-Paul Gaultier signs a partnership agreement with Hermes International.
Launch of his second perfume "FRAGILE" , for Women.
THE THIRD MILLENIUM WILL BE " LOVE " collection that is more international than ethnic, modeled by couples illustrating crossbreeding.

July : Haute Couture collection autumn/winter 2002/2003 "The Hussar"
October : "Intake of air - Thank you Calder", Moving garments suspended by metal chains, the lines are soft, draped and twisted.
November : Designiong of costumes for the French singer "Sheila" at the Olympia.

January : The Sideburns, Men's Autumn/Winter 2003/2004, return to the old values and to a modernized classicism
