Creation of the House JEAN-LOUIS SCHERRER by Mr Jean-Louis
Scherrer, located at the 182, rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris.
The most important clients confirm the designers success. JEAN-LOUIS
SCHERRERs jackets and cocktails drapped dresses in animal
prints, floral and spoted prints become classics.

JEAN-LOUIS SCHERRER moves at the 51, avenue Montaigne and launches a Ready-to-Wear
line, JEAN-LOUIS SCHERRER BOUTIQUE, headed by the Couture House. |
1978

The brand is introduced on the japenese market. The success is immediate
and there are today not less than 13 JEAN-LOUIS SCHERRER shops in Japan. |
1979

The House launches the first fragrance, JEAN-LOUIS SCHERRER,
followed by three others,
SCHERRER 2 (1986), NUITS INDIENNES (1994) and
"IMMENSE" (2002).

JEAN-LOUIS SCHERRER opens its Boutique on La Croisette in Cannes. |
1992

A fur line is created, and becomes quickly one of the main goods of the
House. JEAN-LOUIS SCHERRER keeps growing thanks to its Accessories lines
: scarves, neckties, glasses, umbrellas, shoes ... |
1997

The creation of Haute Couture Collections, Ready-to-Wear and Accessories
is entrusted to STEPHANE ROLLAND.
He modernizes and reactualizes elements that make the House JEAN-LOUIS
SCHERRERs identity and give it a new spirit, actual and contemporary. |
1999

|
The House JEAN-LOUIS SCHERRER launches a new Ready-to-Wear line for men. |
2000
|
|
Opening of the first JEAN-LOUIS SCHERRER Boutique in Beijing - China.

2002

|
FRANÇOIS BARTHES creates FRANCE LUXURY GROUP which includes JEAN-LOUIS
SCHERRER which becomes the key brand.
In November of the same year, the group of ALAIN DUMENIL owner of FRANCESCO
SMALTO and since December STEPHANE KELIAN, enters as a major chair holder
in the financial affaires of FRANCE LUXURY GROUP. |

Stéphane Rolland was born in 1966 in Paris and
spent his childhood in the South of France, he still loves this region
, particularly rich in colors and expressive warmth.
After two years studying at "l'Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la
Couture Parisienne", he starts working as a designer for BALENCIAGA.
In 1991 he is only 25 years old, and feeling ready to branch out on his
own, he creates his own firm. "La Fédération Française
de la Couture" gives him the opportunity to be included among the
best designers, in 1995, he presents his first Autumn/Winter Collection
at the Carrousel du Louvre. Six months later, his Ready-to-Wear line is
sold in 80 shops worldwide.
In 1997, he was named JEAN-LOUIS SCHERRER Art Director. He designs Haute
Couture, Ready-to-Wear and Accessory lines.
Stéphane Rolland modernizes elements which make the Houses
identity, giving it a new spirit, more up-to-date, more contemporary.
At the end of 2001, the Haute Couture is multiplied by six, with 70% of
the clients aged under 30.
