		CLAUDE MONTANA, founded in 1979
		When he was 20 years old, Claude MONTANA designed a jewelry collection. Succes and notoriety come immediately. Then he discovers the leather work and its technique. He gets passionately fond of this material and becomes a real alchemist in this field. In 1976, his first fashion show is a crushing success. He is an inspired colorist and works essentialy plain colors associated with noble materials like cashmere, leather or silk. His favorite colors are the Klein blue, the Etruscan red, black, navy but also the sandy colors, the greys and all the metallic tones In 1979 he creates his own company. In 1981 he designs his first collection for men : MONTANA Hommes. Superfluity is eliminated and each detail gets its importance…. The MONTANA precision imposed itself on the selection of fabrics and the proposed colors scheme. A genuine elegance, a certain jauntiness…… it is the masculine elegance of MONTANA. In 1985, his glamourous and elegant fashion is rewarded by the Best Women's Collection Oscar at the Paris Opera. In 1987, he receives the Best European Designer Oscar in Munchën. In 1989, he gets the Balenciaga Price of the Best Designer, in Madrid. Perfectionism and exigency define the MONTANA collections. He gets a worlwide recognition thanks to his purified and structured shapes, his architectured cuts. The MONTANA look blows up. Consecration will come thanks to the Haute Couture. In 1990, he designs his first Haute Couture collection for LANVIN. His collections will be rewarded by two consecutives Gold Timbles in 1991 and 1992, for the first time in the History of the Haute Couture. MONTANA enters into the Legend. In 1999, Claude MONTANA designs a MONTANA BLU collection for women, more affordable. It is inspired by the Designer's favorite themes in order to develop a sportswear and citywear style. The association of tecnical fabrics with plain colors and printed materials, together with elaborated shapes gives to this line a young and modern look associated with today cool attitude : a true MONTANA signature. Passionated for Contemporary Art, sculpture and painting are inexhaustible inspiration sources. Since Claude MONTANA has always been searching for perfection and refinement, he makes the Woman beautiful and conquering.
