A series of six conferences will take place this fall at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs. These meetings will be organized and hosted by Didier Grumbach, the author of the “Histoires de la Mode” and Pamela Golbin, the curator of the fashion and textile collections at the Arts Décoratifs. The conferences will examine the growth of the fashion and textile trade, couturiers and fashion designers ; the transformation of the media from the Jardin des Modes to Internet web sites ; the role of buyers at department stores and multi-brand retailers. The conferences will take place in 2008 on September 25, October 30, and, November 27. Next year’s dates are : February 5, March 26, and May 14. For reservations and information :
