DIGITAL / PRESS RELEASE - 20 January 2016
Starting with this month’s fashion shows, the Fédération française de la Couture is going deeper into digital. The new initiatives include a Paris Fashion Week app, a digital platform for Designers Apartment, and New Now, the digital fashion shopping venue for in-season items.
- The Paris Fashion Week app is now available from the Apple Store and Google Play. This app lets users consult all the official calendars and events for the Haute Couture, Ready-to-Wear and Men’s Wear fashion weeks. It also provides a list of press contacts. Users will be able to create their own fashion week agenda of “favorites” and to discover the companies taking part in New Now and Designers Apartment.
- Designers Apartment: This media presentation, available at www.modeaparis.com and on the PFW app, features the labels participating at the Designers Apartment showroom that takes place yearly in March and October at the Atelier Richelieu. Content including videos, photos and articles will keep viewers up to date with news about the growing number of Designers Apartment exhibitors.
- New Now: The former “En Avant Première” operation will continue to allow Internet users to see photos and videos of a selection of fashion collections at the time they hit the stores. Also included is the list of stores in which the collections are sold. So come discover some 30 brands and their Spring-Summer 2016 collections. New Now, see now and buy now!
The new organization of the www.modeaparis.com website incorporates these new digital options alongside the basic information and contact lists for Fédération française de la Couture and its members. Since July 2015, journalists have been able to register online for fashion week accreditation via a downloadable form on www.modeaparis.com. The Fédération française de la Couture can be followed on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
